Christmas Eve And RC3

The first release of Drupal 7.0 will be on January 5, 2011 if nothing goes wrong. Today the final Release Candidate is out and it's number 3. Everything is looking real good.

Drupal7 In Three Locations Now

Following a suggestion that I read I now have Drupal 7 in three places. The first is a development server version on my XP machine which is a WAMPSERVER 2.0. The second is a staging version which is on my Ubuntu 10.4 across the room. It's networked with my XP. The final version, which I call the production version, is on a purchased hosting VPS.

Rebuilding Theme Registry

In Beginning Drupal it tells you to go to Appearance and clicking Save Configuration to rebuild the Theme Registry. Today I was adding a template file to my sub-theme and I couldn't get it to activate in this way. I read somewhere that Clearing Cache in Performance was the way to do that, and in this case it worked. This is article is a note to self. :) I thought that would be ineffective since all the caching functions are turned off for now. Very slight edit on 06/21/2010 to see what the url is after a revision is published.
